Designs for Loyola complex being reviewed by jury

Next week, the jury of the architectural design competition for the new science complex will review submissions from the seven architectural firms on the shortlist.

The jury members will choose the initial design from among these seven. A billboard will go up on the site with a picture of the proposed building, and a 45-day period of public consultation will follow. Depending on the results of that consultation, it is hoped that the City will grant final approval, and the design will go to tender.

The master space plan for the Loyola and Sir George Williams Campuses will be submitted for approval at the Board of Governors meeting scheduled for April 19 to an expanded body, inclu-ding all the major stakeholders.
