Wagdi (Fred) Habashi (Mechanical Engineering) and Janice Helland (Art History) were fêted on January 18 in the Faculty Club, and presented with plaques acknowledging that they are the Concordia University Research Fellows for 1999. Professor Habashi, named Senior Research Fellow, is a world-ranking expert in the field of computational fluid dynamics. Professor Helland, named in the Emerging Fellow category, has done groundbreaking studies of 19th-century women artists.
