Big open house planned for January

Concordia will throw its doors open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 21, and Saturday, January 22, as part of the university's 25th anniversary celebrations.

Exhibits and demonstrations will be mounted on both campuses, and students and counsellors from Montreal-area high schools and CEGEPs will be invited to see what we're all about.

The slogan, "Proud of our past, excited about our future," will be everywhere, as visitors explore the many ways they can enrich their lives with a Concordia education.

Alumni, faculty and staff who helped shape Concordia over those 25 years will have a special role to play, and our neighbours at both campuses will be invited, too. Tell your friends and neighbours that this is their opportunity to see Concordia in action.

So far, 35 units have signed up to participate, 15 academic and 17 support services, and more are coming on board. If you've always wanted to promote your department, now is your chance. You can mount an exhibit, a demonstration, a tour, a performance -- and if you're looking for a better idea, the committee has plenty. Contact Carl Kouri at ckouri@alcor.concordia.ca or phone him at 848Ð4957.

The open house committee is chaired by Sandra Spina, Director of Marketing Communications, and includes representatives from across the university.
