How Animals Think & What They Think About
Marc Hauser, Professor of Psychology, Harvard University

All animals are equipped with a set of mental tools, specialized devices in the brain have been designed to solve adaptive problems. Some are universal, shared by all species; others are specialized, present in only a handful of species. By exploring the minds of animals from this perspective, we gain a richer understanding of what it is like to think and feel like them.
