Nancy Keane Her many friends in the Department of Communication Studies were sorry to hear of the death on May 27 of former staff member Nancy (Anne Weiler) Keane, at the age of 70, from cancer. Nancy was a dedicated member of the Communication Studies staff from 1986 to 1994, notably as supervisor of the Learning Centre, a facility jointly shared by Communication Studies and Journalism students. She had a wonderful sense of humour, and was always generous with her time, particularly with the students. Nancy died at home, with her loving family in attendance. Our sympathies are extended to Jack, her husband of 50 years, her children Kerry, Lynne, Tim, Sean, Jennifer and Dennis, her brothers and sisters, and their families. |
